The Mid Iowa Archers organization was established in 2003. We have been establishing ourselves as a premier, and respected club in the central Iowa  area. Our home course is at the Indianola Ikes by Lake Aqhabi. We have a 40-target course in the surrounding woods around the lodge.  The course includes both flat and hilly shooting.  There is also a tower shot at the halfway point.  The course consists of two different loops so archers may start at two different places.  There is also a practice range with targets at 20, 30, 40, and 50 yards.   Another plus archers enjoy is the air-conditioned lodge with modern plumbing facilities for registration and lunch!

MIA also hosts several indoor potluck shoots during the winter.  This past winter, Archery Field and Sports and Happy Apple Archery each hosted one of the indoor 3D shoots.  Good food and good fun for the whole family!

So whether you’re the lone archer or have a family of budding archery enthusiasts, come join us for a shoot.  We offer both single and family memberships.  Members shoot our shoots at a reduced price!  If you haven’t shot a 3D course before, members are on hand to take you through and explain the basics.   A 3D shoot is a great way to get ready for hunting season or just to enjoy the challenge of shooting the course.  So pack up your bow and come out and see us!
